International Tamil Academy
Tamil is a language predominantly spoken in southern India. Being a classical language that is more than 2,500 years old, it features many works of literature and has footholds enshrined in strong cultural traditions. It is no wonder that the Tamil immigrants want their offsprings to know the language.
Medway Tamil School was started in 2017 by a group of parents/friends to educate their children and to bring in and benefit other Tamil children living in around the Medway/Kent region.
Being fluent in their own mother tongue enhances the overall development of a child. It connects them to their culture, ensures better cognitive development, and aids in the learning of other languages.
Tamil School is such an initiative to enhance the Tamil language for the Tamil children living in the Medway, UK.

Class held: Rainham Girls School, Derwent Way, Gillingham ME8 0BX.
Time: Sunday 3:30 to 4:30 pm
Courses
Kindergarden (basic) for beginners.
Grades 1-5 with sufficient Tamil reading, speaking and writing ability.
Fees
Teaching is voluntary. Costs only for books and classroom hire.
Term Days
School Term: September to June (About 30 weeks, follows school calendar)
